The weather is quite simply the most important factor that will influence our experiences on the hills. It will change our plans, inspire the unexpected, drain our strengths and cast rays of hope.
The art of reading the weather bonds closely with the science of forecasting it.
Artistically there are many interpretations - Scientifically we are only in our infancy.

Fortunately however, its not just us mountaineers that hold such regard and relevance to the life, trials and tribulations of the earths atmosphere.
Across the globe billions of eyes watch the sky's, millions of instruments record statistics, hundreds of thousands of computers calculate probabilities, thousands of media outlets churn out predictions in hundreds of different formats.
And yet.... will it rain tomorrow? We still can not be sure!
